About our music...
Customers often ask me, "What radio station are you playing?" This usually happens when they walk in and hear one of their favorite tunes from back in the day. Well, the truth is, it's not a radio station at all. Our ambient music is provided by the Muzak Corporation. Years ago, Muzak became famous for providing music for hotel lobbies, doctors' waiting rooms, and inside elevators. That's right, they were the original provider of what was called "sleepy elevator music." Muzak has since come of age and now provides all types of foreground and background music for all kinds of commercial applications. At Café Americana. you are hearing their all 70's channel. That's right, it's all 70's all the time. Why? Because for my money, the best music ever produced was recorded during that decade. I'm still a firm believer that the greatest rock tune ever recorded was "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. If you visit this website and you disagree, please stop in and tell me where I'm wrong.
We're proud to be a part of this project. Cafe Americana
and Celestial Lites are now partnering with Chamoda's Candy Cafe to market
Chamoda's gummy bears. The gummy bears
are named after Chamoda Kennedy Palmore, a University of Cincinnati
student athlete who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on
September 25, 2014. Prior to his death,
Chamoda had urged his father to move forward with a dream of his own and open a
candy store. The senior Palmore has now
realized that dream and has opened Chamoda's Candy Cafe on Chester Rd. in Sharonville, Ohio. A portion of the proceeds from the candy
store will be used to fund a memorial scholarship in Chamoda Kennedy Palmore's
